but my parents are trolls and told my grandmother they were going to name me hezekiah
I was going to be Gabrielle. My parents always knew I was going to be a girl because my mom was like a…
Either way I was going to have a boy name. It was either Randi (which is my name) or Charlie. My mom named me after Randy Rhodes. Cool, mom.
My mom wanted to name me Leah but I got Victoria which I’ve never really related to. My first/middle name is Victoria Cecilia and I feel like that’s way too elegant/mature for me, but I figure I’ll grow into it some day. But my parents/everyone have always actually called me Vikki, which, I dunno, doesn’t really feel right either. I probably would have liked Leah better, but I will admit that Victoria Cecilia is a super badass name.
Esmeralda and Bernadette were both toyed with for awhile. Either would have been awesome!
For a hypothetical boy, my dad wanted Montell, Spike, or Odibee.
Deborah was my parents’ second choice for a girl. But “Debbie” sounds bad with my last name.
oh god YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES.
I miss the community of Livejournal. I miss spilling my guts and having a safety net and posting silly self portraits and whining about my love life and feeling inspired ALL THE FUCKING TIME because there was this amazing group of girls and boys and we just fed off each other.
:`( Livejournal I love you forever and ever and ever.
as if i could love meggy wang any more than i already did. click the link and read. (i’m going to properly respond when i’m not at work.)
Oh LiveJournal, I still use you! Though technically I crosspost to LiveJournal via DreamWidth, an LJ alternative that is ad-free and without all of the creepy privacy violation stuff that LJ always seems to be doing.
I’m definitely not ashamed to say that I met some of my best real life pals through LJ. I never would have met aprilmarches if we hadn’t both had “Rose Melberg” on our interests lists and I met bluebeadsandbones when she made a post on zinescene asking if any of the community members had been at a zine reading at Mac’s Backs.
I always tell people that the internet (via LJ) got me my senior prom date.
